2019 Workshops and tutors

Attendees will get a choice to do 3 out of the four workshops available over the weekend. Workshops will be run Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

Spin textured yarns in exciting new ways! A self-taught spinner and illustrator, Laurie Boyer has spent her life as a curious artist. Laurie will teach you how to spin and use textured yarns that reflect the beauty of the natural fibre.

Colour gradients and speckle yarns, the no-dye way to make the yarns you want! Learn how to prepare fibre for specific colour placements in your traditional or creative yarns. Suzys passion for colour and fibre led her to write a book about it!

Jane Deane

Jane Deane

Learn about spinning exotic fibres with Jane, a textile designer and tutor working with fibre, yarn and dyes. Her particular passions are colour in the form of both natural andsynthetic dyes, and silk fibres.

Learn to spin English Longdraw! Sue has developed her own way of spinning and teaching which allows students to spin quality yarns from the start, avoiding such problems as lumps and uneven twist and thickness.
